Book People - PRAISE!

I just want to say I buy something (or, more accurately, some thingS!!) from The Book People pretty much every time they send me a booklet.

Their prices are fab - I got quite a few Xmas presents for less than half what they would be in the shops - and the delivery is really quick.

Example: I ordered some books at 8.25 am last Thursday and they arrived first thing on Friday!

It's very easy to criticise bad companies but this one has NEVER let me down and I thought it would be nice to say something good about a company!

The only thing is they cost me so much money!! So not very MSE!

Usually excellent customer service from them. Red House Books and Schoollink are the same company too. If you look on Hot Deals UK vouchers section and Mse codes forum, you can usually find a free postage code to enter too.

Now I'll be spending even MORE and buying MORE books!

Going to have to move house at this rate!!

The Book People rock....I've bought lots from them. 2 books arrived with me a bit bashed around the edges and they replaced them without question.

We have a Book People rep come into our office every month. She leaves us a selection of books to look through and comes back the following week with the books that people want to buy and to collect the money. She's been doing this for several years and she is excellent too.

For the first time ever, The Book People let me down this Christmas. I placed 2 orders for use as presents at the beginning of December. One was promptly cancelled but then reinstated incorrectly. The other was despatched on 6th December, (this was during the first bout of bad weather) I started to chase it when it didn't arrive. Nobody at the Book People could give me a tracking number or even tell me who was making the delivery. I was told variously that it had gone via Royal Mail, DHL and HDNL. Eventually I had to struggle to the store the week before Christmas to get replacement presents. The books were declared lost in early January, I have finally received them.

If this had been my first dealings with them, they would also have been my last. Luckily I know that they usually do much better, however I am disappointed at the poor Customer Service they exhibited during this period.

Well... this is a rant forum!
