BTL and other Indian Call Centre Companies and the TPS
Even though our home number is registered with the TPS we have been receiving unsolicited calls from Indian based call centres. Very often either myself or my husband are asked for by name and these calls are getting very annoying. They usually come in during dinner or our evening family quiet time. I've tried explaining…

ugg footwear direct/uggaffair.com
Hi all, This is my first time on this forum but I was also stung in this scam (luckily I paid on my credit card so got my money back). Having since got my Uggs from the very reputable and reliable Uggs Direct, I've made it a bit of a mission to keep tabs on this site and it would seem that they may have resurfaced as…

Hi, I've responded to an advert on Gumtree.com for a pair of decks, as they were listed at a very cheap price. The seller wants to do the transaction through this site: www.auto-ec.com where it acts as a third party and holds my money until I recieve the goods and confirm I'm happy with them, then they transfer it to the…

I just got some car insurance via QuoteLine Direct after using moneysupermarket.com. When I rang up to accept the quote I was told that there is a £15 "service charge" on top of the quoted premium. Tesco Pine-nuts rip-off!!
If you go to Tesco to buy Pine nuts you can pay 1.89 for the 100g pack displayed near the fruit and veg and sold as a 'healthy snack' or you could choose to pay 1.45 for the 100g pack sold near the home baking ingredients!! I can't see any difference between the 2 apart from the price and the packaging.

If anyone could offer any advice on this subject I would be very grateful. I noticed a grating sound coming from the breaks on my car on Wednesday so I called the RAC who came to check it out. Their-There-They're
Three different words, three entirely different meanings. These words seem to be becoming interchangeable, often it is obvious which is intended from the context. Can anyone suggest a way of sorting out what is meant in the cases where it is not clear? Obviously without offending the OP.
