which insurance to claim on?
In brief, I've had petplan insurance for Skip since we got her 6 years ago. Shes never been ill, and we've never made a claim. The renewal came through at £50/month, so I shopped around and took out a new policy in December with AXA. I let the petplan policy run on, because AXA didn't cover some things in the first 4 weeks…

Tom cats
We have a large and very good natured unneutered ginger tom cat (Barry :D ) I took him to the vets today to be booked in, weighed and have some heavy duty flea killer. The vet was impressed how gentle he is and was really surprised that he did not smell! The nurse said the same. This confused me because Barry has never…

rescued budgie help
We have a rescued budgie that had been left in a house by owners who went on holiday and was removed by the RSPCA. We took him in temporarily but have decided to keep him. Our foster dog Tia :)
Today we went on a group walk organised by a sled dog rescue. The total count was 152 people and 101 dogs. It was an awesome walk, my two have done nothing but sleep since. We went to collect our temporary foster, Tia. She's 4 and has been used as a breeding machine. The rescue needed a fosterer urgently so we've got her…

The things we do for love
I am sitting here feeling very sorry for myself :( . I have spent approx 2 hours cutting up 5 whole sheeps tripes with the kitchen scissors and have taken off the skin on the inside of my little finger  . However, the look on all the expectant, excited (and hungry) little doggy faces makes it all worthwhile :happyhear…

anti barking sensors for dogs - do they work?
Have a yappy dog next door who could bark for 4 hrs at a time before neighbours would think about taking it inside. Thinking about getting one of those anti barking dog sensors that give out some sort of signal/high pithced noise that supposedly stops them barking. Just wondering has anyone had any luck with these?
