The things we do for love

I am sitting here feeling very sorry for myself
.
I have spent approx 2 hours cutting up 5 whole sheeps tripes with the kitchen scissors and have taken off the skin on the inside of my little finger
.
However, the look on all the expectant, excited (and hungry) little doggy faces makes it all worthwhile :happyhear .
What things do you do for your furbabies to make them especially happy?

I try not to kill the mutt when he's chewed the 100th pair of knickers
I try not to kill the mutt when he's ruined the sky remote and then decded that the new one is fair game as well.
I try and stop the OH killing the mutt when he's ruined OH's stuff.
And if he's especially lucky I don't moan too much when the mutt and OH takes me on a 4 hr walk in the freezing cold2014 Target;

I descended on my lovely affectionate Persian cat this morning with a comb. She is still ignoring me. Esp as flea treatment followed. I'm working up the courage to trim the fur round her backside.

The worst thing is her brother hasn't any knots, fleas or bottom problems at all. She must think I've really got it in for her.:pBut if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
you have a hundred pairs of knickers :eek:I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
OP, why don't you use an electric knife to cut them up?0

Over the last two yrs I've sometimes felt that I've kept the chinese knicker market in business .....I've half expected Tesco to ask if I've set up a knicker stall in a market somewhere.
And don't even get me started on socks........2014 Target;

I feed him things that disgust me, tripe, whole rabbits.. etc.
Today I was out in the elements from 10:30 am - 4pm doing his training and ring craft ( he wasn't out in it all day he had frequent car rest, just me who's the idiot)
I spend a small fortune on training gear and toys for him.
Try not to kill him when he ruins my shoes.0 -

I have to remove the whole rabbits - sometimes still twitching:eek: - from the little horror's mouth!
And scrub the other little horror's teeth when she's had a quick snack of some other little horror's poo...:eek:0 -

Well, firstly, I don't have an electric knife - and even if I did I don't think it would work as the tripes are very rubbery and slimy :eek:.
Secondly, I did it in the downstairs bathroom (with the tripes in buckets in the bath
) because they stink and I didn't want them in my kitchen.
Thank God I feed it raw - I can remember someone cooking it on the stove years ago, and the smell was just horrendous :eek::eek:."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

try not to get annoyed that we hever have a pair of matching socks because our biggest ferret has a penchant for robbing one and hiding it
try not to get annoyed that our other big boy ferret floods the kitchen every day by dragging the water bowl backwards round and round. Then fill the bowl again for him when he comes to me indicating that he's thirsty
try not to get annoyed when all of the ferrets climb up high to break into my dolls' house and trash it (again)
try not to get annoyed that every rubbery object in the living room has either been trashed or severely chewed by said ferrets
I could go on all day....but they are worth every moment

When I collect my son from college I park in a particular place as Truffle loves to watch the Wagtails hopping about, he's not interested in watching any of the other birds. My son moans because there's lots of spaces nearer. I'm also thinking about getting the dog a booster seat as he can't see out the window when he hasn't got my son's lap to sit on.:o0
