Parking Awareness fine
My boyfriend has received a parking charge notice claiming that he is the registered owner of a car 'not parked fully within the confines of a marked bay' while in Blackpool a few days ago. There was no picture included to show that the car was not fully within the bay however, there were 2 members of staff working in this…

Independent Appeal Service Declined
Hello all, I will try to keep this short and not drag on...apologies for any grammatical errors. Back in July 2016, we moved in to a new flat that included an allocated parking space. The development is being looked after by two management companies, Mainstay Group for the public areas etc. and Parking and Property…

TfL Red Route PCN
Ok. This one is curious, and I know it isn't strictly the PPC invoices this forum normally deals with, but a lot of you are sensible, intelligent people, some of whom have some legal training / knowledge (or so it appears), so i'm hoping for some general guidance: I got home from work to find a Penalty Charge Notice from…

Private Eye in Scotland
I have received a 'charge notice' for being 18mins over time in Aldi. I know advice is to ignore, but I'm the only one in household who drives (on a side note why can DVLA give out details to a private firm!) and as we hope to apply for a mortgage next year could my ignoring of the 'charge' cause problems?

ES Parking & Wright Hassall
I have received a parking charge notice from this company for parking when we believed we had permission to park; PCN was responded to with a refutal, modelled on information from this forum, and provided written evidence of the permission, though not directly from the landowner, as well as setting out other grounds for…

UKPC Left the site
Good Evening All, So I have received a lovely sticker on a windscreen from UKPC today at Crown Point in Leeds. Allow me to explain the scenario: I arrived at the car park as i wanted to do some shopping, but first i decided to go meet a friend of mine across the road. Upon coming back i've noticed the yellow pile of bird…

Ccj - parking eye
Hi I am looking for any help or advice. We applied for a mortgage on Monday and we're turned down due to CCJ. After contacting the court we were informed it was from parking eye. Parking eye confirmed it is from the 25th March this year at an Aldi car park and we overstayed by 7 minutes. I know everyone has the same story,…

Do I really have to go through all this?
Hi, A few months back I received a parking ticket in the car park of the office I rent. My ticket had blew off the dashboard into the foot well so I had to appeal it and won. I have just come home to find a letter saying that I had received a parking ticket on the 8th of August and that they hadn't received payment blah…

Minster Baywatch
Hi, I would like to share my story. I rented a car at Hertz in Sheffield and went to York with 3 friends. We parked in a private space managed by Minster Baywatch, paid and displayed the ticket. When we came back (in time) we did not find any charge (of course, we paid the parking!). After 2 weeks Hertz sent me an invoice…

Car clamped legally?
I live in Northern Ireland. I had my car clamped by a private company (PEA). The immobilisation notice on my car for the clamp had the number plate recorded incorrectly. I had to pay the release fee of £105 to get the clamp off because a recovery truck was on its way. The PEA agent claimed that they take photos of the car…

Consumer Protection (Amendment) Regulations 2014
Just looking at the government's guidance and in particular a worked example involving "Civil Recovery" on pages 18 and 19. (Of course it only works if you pay the Civil Recovery claim; but you could certainly apply it to wrong reg numbers or upturn tickets situations)…

APCOA parking fine - Travelodge Newcastle
On 11/08/2016 at 17:47:05, I entered the car park as I was dining in a nearby restaurant, something I've done many times as it is open to non guests for a charge. I parked and walked to the machine to pay by card like I have done many times. One machine was out of order, ok, however the other machine was unfortunately not…

Barnet Council (London) Parking system mistake
Hi I received an (I believe) incorrect traffic violation recently from Barnet Council in London. I appealed this notice and did not receive a response. I called up the parking team and they reassured me that my appeal had been received and was in the process of being looked at. However I then received a letter saying that…

Bromley PCN
Got a ticket which I appealed ... They rejected it. I was parked nearby a sign on my side which said 10am-12 noon residents parking only or pay at machine. Bromley say this means 10am-noon = residents parking only. All other times pay at machine. I thought (and have always thought) this meant 10am-noon residents parking OR…

Help with County Court Claim Form from Parking Eye
Hi, any advice would be appreciated to fight a county court claim form. The original PCN was issued 11th Feb 2016, for overstaying at Etrop Court Car Park in Wythenshawe. On 1st March I appealed by sending a letter as the registered keeper, based on the template given by 'coupon-mad' on their newbies page (the first appeal…

Is this POPLA appeal letter good enough?
I received a parking charge at my place of work (NHS Hospital in England) because I had put last years permit on my windscreen instead of this years. I appealed to CP Plus thus: I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car and I will complain to the landowner about the matter if it is not cancelled. I believe that your…
