Airport "Security"
There have been some letters in the "Telegraph" about airport security - perhaps airport "stupidity" is more suitable. They are worth sharing. 1. An armed policeman whose bottle of water was confiscated. 2. The captain of the aircraft who had his nail clippers confiscated - he pointed out in his letter that he has an axe…

Holiday Ideas for an 8yr Old
I'm thinking of taking my 8yr old step-son away this year for the 1st time, i'm not to sure where to take him. In cash. What is the cleverest think to do hold on to it? I was going to change it in one go and put straight into my savings account, is this wise? Plus where is the best place to change it? I have been told MnS. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Has anybody used tesco clubcard deals to book ferry?
Just curious about whether anybody has done this as it seems like a good way to save money. For me it costs about £240 to do a return trip to Ireland. For this I'd need about £60 worth of clubcard vouchers (as you get 4 times as many deal tokens so 4 * 60 =240). Obviously collecting £60 worth of vouchers is difficult but…

flying somewhere for one night 4th april
It is my wife's birthday in April and we have babysitters for the 3 kids. I know it is a bit daft and extravagant but I fancied flying somewhere on a short flight for one night. It would have to be from Bristol or Cardiff and getting us back in the UK by 7pm on the Sunday. Budget would be around £100 each for the flight…

Do last-minute deals still exist?!
Myself, my OH and 2 friends are hoping to go on holiday during the summer holidays. As 3 of us work in a school, we have to go during the 6 week hols which I know is generally more expensive than other times of the year. We moved house this year and don't have lots of money to spare, however none of us have had a 'hot'…

homestays - cheap and fun
Rather than expensive hotels or cr*ppy hostels, I prefer to stay with locals. Try https://www.crashpadder.com - they claim to have rooms in 20 countries. Alternatively couchsurfing.org where you can stay for free, but the rooms are not always great.
