Holiday Ideas for an 8yr Old

I'm thinking of taking my 8yr old step-son away this year for the 1st time, i'm not to sure where to take him. He has mild austim, at the moment all he wants to do is play with his "cars" toys from the movie.
We only have him a weekend a month, so i'm going to see if we can have him a bit longer and take him away.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Not being funny, but if you are only looking for a short break for an 8 year old, then you could do a lot worse than Euro Disney.
If you want to stay in the UK, then there are loads of good cheap places up and down the country within easy distance of tourist hotspots.
8 year olds are easy to travel with and generally like most things."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
