In cash. What is the cleverest think to do hold on to it? I was going to change it in one go and put straight into my savings account, is this wise? Plus where is the best place to change it? I have been told MnS. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

No, I think that the cleverest thing to do, to hold on to some money, is to not spend it.
  • My choice is keep it in dollars OR convert to sterling and put in a savings account.

    Its not being spent.

Once converted it is accruing interest but my original question was whether now was a good time to convert it and if so which is the cheapest way of doing that.

I'm not being antagonistic Gio, but if we knew that, we'd be millionaires. It is a game of chance. Play carefully.

Which currency is it? 2400$ Zimbabwe is not worth worrying about; 2400$ Colombia would buy a very nice cup of coffee; 2400$ Malaysia would make a real difference to someone.

the pound is getting stronger again (slowly) - change it too sterling asap I cant see the pound plummeting as it did a month or 2 ago.

    Heads you convert it.
    Tails you dont.

That stands about as much chance as any on whether you win or lose.
