flying somewhere for one night 4th april

It is my wife's birthday in April and we have babysitters for the 3 kids. I know it is a bit daft and extravagant but I fancied flying somewhere on a short flight for one night. It would have to be from Bristol or Cardiff and getting us back in the UK by 7pm on the Sunday. Budget would be around £100 each for the flight and £100ish for the hotel

Is this possible?

one example I found bristol to dublin depart 0800 arrive 0855

    next day

    depart 1045 back for 1140

    total cost £68.45

leaving you lots of pennies for hotel!

Ah i think it is a lovely idea, if only my hubby could try and plan something like this, i am very sure it is doable, having just checked ryanair quickly barcelona & milan can be done, havent checked all the flights avaliable, sorry, but flights are £105 or under for both of you, then leaves £200 for that extra special hotel! Good luck with your planning, your wife is a very special lady :D

we did this one yr for our anniversary
flew from bristol to dublin ( ryan air penny flight !) early one morning, stayed overnight and flew back late the next day

so we got 2 full days and one night there really :)
  • I would hang on until the next free flight offer from ryanair, then you would have more to spend on the hotel, nice restaurant. Probably around 2-3 weeks from now.
  • We can actually go somewhere for 3 nights now so I opened this http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1506895

thread. No idea if I put the link in right as I have never done it before
