soup stock
A plea to all home made soup stock makers! I always save the liquid in which I simmer my ham hocks. It makes lovely stock for soup but despite always soaking the ham joint over night first in cold water first and then refreshing the water for cooking, the stock still remains saltier than I would like. Is there any way of…
How to remove sellotape glue?
I taped some kitchen things together with sellotape for moving home and with the tape removed there’s sticky glue left behind. Washing up suds did not remove it. Any suggestions please? One of the items has a painted surface btw

Mason glass beaker jars with handles
Would be interested to know of your experiences with hot liquids in Mason glass jars. Am looking for some hardy containers for heating home made soup up in. in a microwave which could be used out in the garden. However I see some are not recommended for use with hot liquids (possibly even coffee or tea) which partly…

Can I cook biscuits in a Remoska?
I am thinking of getting one of these and most of the things I cook can be done in it but I'm not sure about fairy cakes and biscuits. Anyone tried this please?
Cash Back sites
I have been using Top Cash Back for a while. It has saved a lot of money over the past three years. I have seen another way of getting cash back, by using a site called My Cash Back Cards. Has anyone any experience of this method? I cant actually understand how it works or whether it is worth joining.
