How to remove underarm sweat stains?
Quick question - does anyone know how to remove under arm sweat stains from shirts? Not sure if it's from the sweat or from the underarm deodorants hubby wears but, either way, it's becoming a problem! Thanks.

It seemed cheap (I am assuming it swells?) so I bought it and I am now looking for some ideas/recommendations. So far I plan to try; *spag bol *cottage pie *burritos *pie Has anyone used…

Old style is the New style.
Good Morning Everybody, Another typical overcast Bank Holiday weekend. I always used to feel guilty about not having super adventures at every long weekend/school holiday, but, I am not sure if it's age, or apathy, but I am really looking forward to a weekend of jammies, sewing things I may be able to sell (I do not know…

Any tips for taking away smoke type smell from wooden beech unit?
Hello I bought a lovely wooden beech unit (drawers in middle and a door each side) in a charity shop as it looked in great condition. However, after bringing it home and opening the drawers and doors there's a smoke type smell? It's quite a strong odour and wondering if anyone has any tips on what I could use to take the…

Should I return new slow cooker?
Well I decided to replace my 3.5 litre slow cooker and have bought the Morphy Richards sear and stew one, mainly because of the lightness of it, I don't really sear meat on the hob first. However, now I am wondering if I would be better off with a 1.5 litre slow cooker. My friend says that size would be better for me…

Would you return cheap tat?
Today for example I spent £1.40 on a wrist support wrap that on picture showed it covering whole hand bar fingers and quite far up wrist. I got it and it didn't even wrap around my arm let alone my whole wrist. And bought various things from places like Poundland that are useless. To me even £1 can be used to buy something…

Family meal budgeting
hi everyone. longstanding (for years!) lurker here in need of some help! i know this has been done an awful lot but we have had pretty much most of our unamendable house bills increase this month (council tax, service charge etc) and it has now meant that we can scrape together £150, £170 at a push, per month for food.…

Off the back of the yucky loo seat...
I have three boys (four, counting the husband!) and the 'rim' for want of a better word, above where the water comes out is stained with wee. What's the best way of cleaning it? Tried bleach but that doesn't seem to work. Thank you!

Best way to cook chicken breasts
I live on my own and the only meat I eat regularly is chicken. Apart from this I eat pasta and fish, also soup at times. My slow cooker has had it and is in the bin. I don't know whether or not to buy a new one as I will be mainly cooking chicken breasts in it. I find cooking chicken in the slow cooker ensures it is cooked…

Food for long haul flight
I'm taking a 11 hour flight later this year for a work trip (as I have done several times in the past) + 3 hr to the airport + 1 hr the other end, so quite a long journey. My employer pays a daily allowance for food (rather than needing receipts) so it is in my interest to spend as little as possible. I also prefer…

Yuk: stained loo seat
Sorry if this has been asked before, but: I have three 'new' bathrooms (re-done 3 years ago) and three nice loos. But despite my regular cleaning the plastic seats are becoming stained underneath, especially the edges of the seats. They are expensive ones and I have tried every cleaning substance and technique known to…

Meat budgeting
Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, if it needs to be moved, that's fine :o Ok, here's a bit of background. I am in receipt of PIP and EESA for a chronic health condition. In addition to this, I also have hypothyroid (under active) and have put on quite a bit of weight. I am seeing a…
