March 2018 Grocery Challenge
Nooch is about £6 a tub on Amazon, however you can buy a pack of six tubs for £16 (plus postage of £2.99) which makes them slightly over £3 each... Also, I got a kilogram of hemp seeds for £12.99 (plus £2.99 postage) which was the best deal I could find on them - I store them in the fridge which keeps them fresh as this…

Cheese on toast with a twist!
My grandmother used to make a rather odd cheese on toast recipe when we were small and I've never come across it anywhere since so not sure whether it was a regional recipe - she was from Cheshire - or maybe an old war time recipe, so wondered whether anyone here has ever heard of it. Basically, it's Cheshire cheese…

Can I hoover out my washing machine?
I know it probably sounds bonkers. I washed the pet bedding which ended up being a LOT fluffier than I thought. Washing machine is now full of fluff  I've tried a hot wash, washing machine cleaner etc but still fluff everywhere. I'm wondering if I can hoover it out? Or is that just crazy?

Hello fellow Old-Stylers A friend asked me yesterday for a gift idea to give her work colleague/good friend as a tenth wedding anniversary present. My friend hasn't much spare money, and a budget of £20 maximum for this gift. I suggested she make a Year of Dates by filling a jar with 52 slips of beautifully-decorated paper…

Days out for a one year old
Another conscious decision to post on OS to get a better quality of response! Any suggestions for a nice day out for a one year old? Dietary awkwardness with drinks help please
Hello all, I've finally remembered to ask about this when I have time at the computer to do so. I was hoping some of you lovely people might have some suggestions for me about non-alcoholic drinks that are safe for me. I need to avoid: dairy (allergy) fruit (squash, fresh juice and tea) coffee tea (black/green/white)…

Cold in bed and memory foam.....for a pet.
Hi old stylers. I've been away from Mse for a while, and while the pet board might be a more obvious place for this question I hope to solve it with an old style approach and wisdom. :) I have a sick dog, who has lost a lot of weight. She is doing a lot better now, but she is skinny and prone to getting cold. She has a…

Picture of the damage here Very dark marks towards the heel and some…
