Secret santa...
 The note is already up at work to put your name down. I don't want to do it and feel obliged to do it! It's £10 and I think it ends up being a gift that no-one wants or needs anyway. Any good excuses to get out of it.

Mini ovens?
DS3 had a Bit Of An Incident involving chestnuts last week whilst I was away, which "killed" the microwave completely. It just so happens that I hate microwaves with a passion (with good reason) so I'm NOT going to replace it. However, we still need to re-heat individual portions of food from time to time, and I'd also…

Christmas cake questions
I've tried searching but the search brings up all the threads/posts that have either Christmas or cake in them. I was wondering if people make their own Christmas cakes when are they usually made (how close to Christmas). I'd also be interested in how much and what kind of alcohol you put into them if any. Thanks

Most seem to require a certain amount of monthly funding, and a certain number of direct debits. They give cashback on utility bills among other things. How does that come about? Do the banks get any commission on…

Recycling medical supplies
Due to a factory closure I have a bin liner full of first aid things. It's mainly bandages which are almost, or already, out of date. I don't want to bin them as I'm sure there must be somewhere that would be thankful for them but I'm not sure where to send/take them. Any suggestions?

Christmas hamper goods for the elderly?
Every year our local church does crimbo hampers for elderly locals who live on their own. We haven't donated goods before and this year the churchies are rallying hard as they didn't receive much donations last year. We've managed to get £115 from donations from our families and want to get goods that would be special…

Stopping light leakage?
I live in a annoying place for light, I have normal blinds and curtains over them and that keeps out a ok amount of light but not enough to stop me getting disturbed in the morning. I like some natural light leaking direct through the curtains but not heavy light through gaps as that fills up the room. In the other bedroom…
