Old Style spider repellent?
It appears DD is severely allergic to spiders. At first we thought our house must be infested with poisonous spiders but now it appears ANY spider bites her and she get a very bad reaction - bite turning into a burn like blister, then a slow healing open sore that scars when it eventually heals. She's been bitten 10 times…

First time making bread
I want to have a go at making bread. I do not have a bread maker or a warm place that I can think of to let the bread rise in? Also is strong flour the same as bread flour? Does any one have a good , simple recipe for bread?

Help - what to eat
Hi I have a meeting after work tomorrow & won't be home until about 9:30, too late to cook and I have just remembered that I have taken nothing out of the freezer that I could cook & take to work with me..:mad: Can do a pasta salad, with the usual, but have no meats. Hello, I really hope someone can help me. I am looking for simple, nutritious and economical meals (does this exist?) for me to make to feed myself, one 7 year old and a 3 year old. Free venison bones
Well at the weekend I visited my butchers but only to accompany my mum and pick up some beef bones for stew. While I was there on the back table they were butchering a venison carcass and the butcher asked me if I could use the section he had as he couldnt be bothered to bone it out. Random post of my money saving current meals :)
been trying to cut food costs so have dropped down to a set of meals to make and take to work that are cheapish and will split for a few days , it does mean I eat the same things for 2-3 days but at least saves cash I would freeze food but only have a very small freezer space and no space to put another freezer as I don't…

Hi all, It's bonus time on the 25th so I'm thinking I might treat myself to a nice cast iron casserole pan. How Do I stop a frozen pie top going Crunchy?
hi guys and gals, please help. When cooking a frozen pie (meat filled), how do you stop the top crust from going crunchy whilst it cooks? I have 2 individual pies that state to cook in the oven at gas 4 for 50 min. I', 30 mins in and the top is getting crispy. :mad:

Uses for Ice Cream Tubs
Help!!! I am being overwhelmed by empty ice cream tubs and don't know what else I can do with them. My Council Website says they'll take them for recycling but that seems a bit of a cop out.
