Hi
I have a meeting after work tomorrow & won't be home until about 9:30, too late to cook and I have just remembered that I have taken nothing out of the freezer that I could cook & take to work with me..
Can do a pasta salad, with the usual, but have no meats. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Sadly, I am a real carnivore! However, will go without meat but would like to have something with a different texture with it.
Oh well, looks as if it will be pure veggie:(A smile costs little but creates much

Baked potato and beans/cheese?
Pasta with tomato and herb sauce - warm in microwave at work?
Defrost something when you get home either in the microwave or under cold water?0 -
I often cook mince straight from the freezer, just fry it off gently in a pan.
If you have any, maybe throw together a simple pasta bolognese?'We can get over being poor, but it takes longer to get over being ignorant'

do you have a timer oven?
get out whatever frozen meat you want as you get home, defrost overnight and then pop in oven in morning and it will be ready to eat when you get home. ie chicken breast wrapped in bacon
do you have a slow cooker?
any mince item will defrost over night, stick in s/c in morning to eat when you get back. ie sausage casserole
if you have a few minutes between work ending and meeting starting can you treat yourself to fish & chips?
can you take a frozen meal to work and mircowave it? or buy a ready meal and mircowave that at work.0 -
Buy a can of chickpeas or mixed beans, they are nice in a salad, you don't have to heat them as they're already cooked. Not dear either
