Cloud Forest Cake
I'm having a crack at this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-1166455/Recipe-Cloud-forest-chocolate-cake.html Recipe includes 6 eggs, and in step 3 says: Would that be the whole egg? Or just the whites or yokes? I presume its the whole egg? Minus the shell of course! :)

Stain on Karate suit...
I think i've just ruined my sons white Karate trousers! I washed them and hung them on the line to dry, and when I took them down there was a couple of 'brown' marks on one leg - I assume it may have come from the metal on the pegs. Anyway, I tried putting some 'lemon' bleach on the stains and left it about 20 mins but…

jamie oliver pasta sauce...
i am totally in love with this sauce - the tomato and chilli one. I bought it when on offer in tesco for only 80p about 3 months ago(maybe more), but is usually £1.79 per jar. i really cant convince myself that this is an ok amount to spend for a pasta sauce. (anyone else with me!?) i tried the Lloyd Grossman jar that…

What is the most obscure meal you could make?
Having had the most awful MOT fail DH and I just cheered ourselves up by going through our freezer and cupboards to see what we had to cook with to see if we could last until next wednesday without having to buy anything other than milk and bread. Unfortunately the cupboards are fairly bare as it is but there are a few…

Bento type lunchboxes at Aldi
I was in Aldi today and saw these lunchboxes, which are very like the Japanese Bento boxes. They had two kinds - one which was for salad and which had a separate click in bit with a little pot for dressing and a click in bit with a fork, and the other one has 3 separate sections which are sealed when the lid is on and…

Lost my way :(
I spent my whole pregnancy glued to this forum and used all the hints and tips to stockpile money for my dd coming and get us debt free. I then spent the first 10 months of her life doing the same and enjoying being on maternity leave and having time to homebake and cook from scratch. She is now 15 months, and for the past…

Hi guys, I'm looking for some creative hints/tips here as I'm starting to panic rather a lot about next week. please rescue my cake!
Hi there all, I've made a lemon drizzle cake, but made a huge foul up with the ingredients! I was meant to put in 3 tspns bicarb (to offset the acidity of the lemon I think) but in my tired state I read it as 3 tablespoons, and I heaped them...:o So the cake is really odd tasting, bitter and bicarby. Is there anything I…

Cheap lemons
Aldi are selling a net with 4 lemons and 2 limes for 49p. If like me you often have a recipe which needs EITHER the zest OR the juice, and hate wasting anything, I have come up with this idea which also means I can buy lots of lemons/limes at this good price. Apologies if someone has already suggested this. Grate off the…
