Stain on Karate suit...

I think i've just ruined my sons white Karate trousers!
I washed them and hung them on the line to dry, and when I took them down there was a couple of 'brown' marks on one leg - I assume it may have come from the metal on the pegs.
Anyway, I tried putting some 'lemon' bleach on the stains and left it about 20 mins but after I washed them the bleach had left a 'yellow' stain!
I then tried using 'clear' bleach, but it seems to have made it worse (larger yellow area)!
Why has this happened, and is there anything I can put on it to make the area white again?

Gis are very hard to clean! If it is rust try soda crystals or lemon. At least it wont make it worse!! Good lUck[STRIKE]Debt 01.01.2010 = £70,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 01.02.2011 = £53,495 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 05.05.2011 = £51,959 [/STRIKE]

you could try Nappisan. I soak my sons Gi in it overnight whenever there is a stain and then wash it it bio washing powder on a hot wash. Not sure how well it would work with bleach but it's worth a try. Good luck, hope you manage to shift the stain.0

The suits are rather thick and you may need to soak it to remove all of the bleach.
Yellow bleach marks are often left when it hasn't been fully rinsed, the marks may go brown if ironed  although they do (in my experience) wash out.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
