What is the most obscure meal you could make?

Having had the most awful MOT fail DH and I just cheered ourselves up by going through our freezer and cupboards to see what we had to cook with to see if we could last until next wednesday without having to buy anything other than milk and bread. Unfortunately the cupboards are fairly bare as it is but there are a few titbits in there. Anyway we came up with one meal of - Venison Osso Bucco, stuffed jalapeno peppers and Smash:rotfl: followed by mincemeat with powdered custard. The kids could have ice-lollies made with Noni juice.

What do you have that would probably get left right until there was nothing else left on the shelves but that you would never in a million years usually put together?

sardines and baked beans. Always lurking in the cupboard, but I rarely eat them. If I was snowed in, they would be the last meal.
Not sure if I would have the sardines on the beans or the other way round. Maybe I could bung them in the SC for an interesting casserole.

my lodgers left behind an old bottle of grappa when they moved out, and my dad left some crumbly bits from the bottom of his all-bran box. I added them and extra sugar to boiled fruit cake mixture.... DH is loving it warmed for puds with custard!

I remember once having beans on cream crackers! There was no bread left, just a packet of crackers. I thought, well, you have butter on crackers like you do with bread, so it's kind of the same! :rotfl:

It was ok. Not great, but not horrible either.
