Refrigerator/Fridge cake recipe Please

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I have misplaced a recipe for this no bake cake which a dear friend gave me a few years ago. I would have asked her for it again but she has moved and doesn't reply to emails regularly.

The recipe ingredients in no particular order from memory included:

Digestive biscuits
Cocoa
Icing sugar
Egg yolk
Vanilla Essence?

I can't remember if there were any other ingredients. It really was delicious. After mixing everything up it was just a case of putting the dish in the fridge, cut into squares and enjoy.....really YUMMY.

Does anyone have a similar recipe I could try? I don't like dried fruit or cherries so no need for those recipes :D.

Thank you.

grandmasam, I can taste the recipe already.... I am trying to cut down on the amount of chocolate I consume but I love these sort of sweet treats. I'm going to give it a bash tonight. Will let you know how it turns out. Thank you.

I made this fridge cake over the weekend, and its still sitting in the fridge as no - one will eat it  It turned out awful, im not quite sure where I went wrong. (Think as I mixed the chocolate in whilst in the pan instead of melting seperate and pouring over!). So, next question is - what can I do with it now instead of binning it. The butter is all congealed on outside it far too sweet. I would hate to chuck it out as I put loads of nice nuts cherries raisans etc in it so would be a huge waste. Tried it with custard as well as the kids left it - (you know its bad then eh!!)
