homemade food business
I know this should probably be on the small biz thread but to be perfectly honest I wanted the opinions of OS'ers first. 1. Do you think there's a market for homemade food, such as chutneys, mincemeat, christmas puds, cakes, melt in the middle chocolate puds etc? 2. Does anyone actually know anything about the legal side…

I'm making a bid to eat more offal for variety and because it's often quite cheap. Anyway, I made an impulse buy yesterday of 4 lamb's kidneys . I also bought some single cream because I had a vague  idea that the two would go well together. Anybody got a simple recipe that combines these two? I've never…

Altering cake recipes

Alcohol and chocolate
Hello! :) For a party I've been invited to, I've been asked to bring something along, so I'm thinking about bringing along some chocolate-covered marzipan balls. I'd like to make them alcoholic, but I'm not sure if there are any spirits that do or don't mix with chocolate too well. (Or with marzipan, for that matter) For…

Laziza, Shan spice mixes
I was just wondering if any Asian posters use these spice mixes? My main question was if they are the lazy asian cook's product like some people use bisto to make gravy or whatever or they are used widely ? I use them a lot, but do find they make dishes taste similar.
