What can I put in a pack up for 8year old for the whole day
My daughter is going on a school day trip this week and needs to take a day's worth of food! They leave at 6am and home about 6.30/7pm so will need plenty of food....but I don't want to overload her! She normally has packed lunch anyway but I don't know what else to put in so looking for any ideas please :)

15l + containers for bulk flour storage?
I've just got a 16kg bag of flour that I'm splitting with my mum but want to keep it safe from the evil psocids so I need a large container to put it in. My rough maths say I need at least a 15l tub but largest I can find in the shops with a tight fitting lid is 13l - anybody seen anything suitable?

Teen new Veggie = Stress for mum...

urgent advice please

bits of chocolate Cake
Eek i broke my cake.... silly thing wouldn't come out of the tin, now i have hundreds of "bit's" of cake.. *sigh* ... it tastes yummy but it's just in 100's of bits waay to make to glue back together. Whole chicken, no oven. Help Please!
My oven packed in last week and we are waiting for it to be fixed. In meantime I forgot and ordered whole chicken from butcher. Looked at recipes for pot roast chicken, but they all say, 'put in oven' to finish cooking. Can I cook it gently in some liquid with veg on top of stove and have it stay nice and moist? Any good…

Mash potato in a food processor?
This is going to make me sound really lazy, but can you mash potatos in a food processor? I'm struggling mashing potatos at the moment because of arthritis and I want to batch make some cottage pies, but I don't want to cook aload of potatos and then they go to musy if you see what I mean in a processor.

Things that worked or didn't work last winter
I'm just recapping what we did in the winter (now it's nearly over :cool: ). Looking at what worked and what didn't, to keep the house warm and dry, and save money.
