Which Balsamic Vinegar will you recommend?

Options
Hi,

As titled, which Balsamic Vinegar will you recommend? Some are very expensive but I have no idea if they are really that good.

I'd like to use it to make salad dressing.

Thanks!

TBH, if you're going to be adding it to other strongly flavoured things it probably doesn't matter too much. But... if to lightly flavoured things then I'd find as many friends that have some and invite them over with their bottles and do a taste test before you choose... Any excuse for a party...

I admit I don't know much about balsalmic vinegar but I bought mine from Tesco's and it was in their Value range so probably not that expensive.

sometimes if you buy cheap balsamic and you find its not strong enough .If you gently heat it up in apan and slightly reduce it it becomes more dense in flavour.
  • I get the cheapest one in Asda it is just as good as any other

We are really lucky in that we have an oil and vinegar shop in the large town where I shop, you can try everythng before you buy & also you can buy them in much smaller quantities. I do love bread dipped in balsamic & oil

We have one of these too and they do a realy nice plain balsamic.
I also love the cherry and almond one and the chocolate balsamic is divine.
It's good that you can try before you buy,so worth visiting if you have this store in town

Sainsbury do one for about £1.70 ish - in a nice shaped bottle too. Ads suec says, just heat it up to reduce it, if necessary.
