Gorgonzola Piccante Cheese
I've just found out I love blue veined cheeses! The only thing is a couple of days ago I had some Gorgonzola Piccante cheese and looked at the packet today. It says the rind is inedible and I had eaten the rind, lol! I had some more tonight minus the rind but wondered why you can't eat it. I've done a google search and…

Kitchen Aid Artisan Food Mixer - any thoughts on this please?
Hello As part of my redundancy I've been given some vouchers to spend. There is a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer and while I could never…

Rice, pasta, grain, potato economics
I've been wondering for a while which starchy accompaniment to meals was the cheapest. My feeling was that it would be potatoes bought in bulk but I thought I'd do a little research and find out. I shop at Waitrose where, by and large everything is more expensive, so these prices (apart from the bulk spuds) are bound to be…

After several years of surviving with a small fridgefreezer and with the recession and M&S meal deals :rotfl: I decided to tidy out the garage and make space for a new chest freezer. I used to spend £70 a month on our groceries (inc household products), but over the last 18 months it has gone up so much and it's getting ridiculous now :embarasse It's definitely time to cut back. Due to Christmas I want to skip our next big shop altogether (still do a local shop for milk & eggs whenever needed) and use…
