We have a variation on this:

but got them from Aldi. Never used the wheat variety so can't comment, sorry.0 -
It depends what he wants them for. They don't stay warm for very long (perhaps I just have a very cold house). Also, when it says put water in the microwave when you warm them up, it means it. There was a news article about an old lady whose house burned down because she was heating up her wheat bottle and never put water in with it.0

Yes, I'm interested in these, too.
The 'magic gel' ones mentioned by Gers are rubbish as you have to put them in boiling water to reactivate them.
Does anyone know whether these wheat filled things are good? Here's another ad:

I bought one from Help The Aged in their new section of xmas gifts for £2.95. Purple and filled with lavender, I love it, it stays warm for ages but does get hot!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I have a few of these wheatbags and find them really good. I also suffer from Raynaulds Syndrome and find they really help as you can now get them in all shapes and sizes. Handy for backpain also. 2mins (no more) in the mircowave and they stay warm for a fair length of time. The gel pads are rubbish. After you have used them a few times they stop working altogether....disposable ones are more efficient when you are out. I am on the lookout for the mini wheatbags that slot over the top of your fingers.0

I use a wheatbag, they are excellent and find they retain warmth for quite a long time. However, I am not keen on the "wheatie" smell so I just sprinkle on a few drops of essential oil.0

I have one I got from avon. Has a lavender fragrance. Ideal for putting round the neck if cold/aching or on knees if tender. Could be folded for pockets but gloves are better!
Doesnt stay hot for too long but very comforting even when cold. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
