  • Some tescos have lots of roasted veg and antipasti and olives reduced at the mo, might be worth a look if youre passing or on line.

  • Lidl do the marinated courgettes and marinated mushrooms. The jars of pickled red peppers are lovely - it's only a mild vinegar solution and they can be rinsed. Plenty of olives to be had and some other stuff in the fridge. Oh, and parma ham, mozarella etc.

Also breadsticks .... and probably quite a lot of other stuff in the run up to Christmas.

  • Yes, Lidl have got a lot of antipasti choices as DFC describes. I visited a Lidl last week and topped up on the peppers and marinated veg.

Hope you get what you wanted :)

Nooooooooooo, don't, I repeat, don't buy any of the artichokes in oil and herbs as they are [STRIKE]absolutely gorgeous and all mine [/STRIKE] truly horrible, you wouldn't like them, not in the slightest, you may even be sick, leave them alone [STRIKE]so I can buy them all[/STRIKE] and buy something else.;):D

I did a meal with salami's, peppers in oil, them horrible artichokes:D, cheese, olives and warm bread and it all went down a treat. All bought from lidl.

OOhhh the fabby greek style things in the chiller - esp the stiffed vine leaves in olive oil and the stiffed chilli peppers - usually in the chiller at the far end near to the eggs (in every lidl I've been in)
Just call me Nodwah the thread killer

The stuffed red peppers with cheese in are gorgeous, I also used them for my meal.

Also in the chiller is the mixed selection; black and green olives, sundried tomatoes and cheese, in oil and herbs. My personal fave.

Thanks for the warning, what a lucky escape! I definitely won't go to Lidl tomorrow as planned, I'll go to Lidl instead.
