quick knitting help please!

Options
I'm not sure what I should be doing.

The instructions are
Change to contrast colour and knit 1 row (that's ok)
Next row, Knit 1 * purl 1, knit 1, repeat from * to end.
Repeat last row twice.
Does this mean I change stitch from knit to purl on each stitch until I finish the row and do that twice? How do I move the yarn from back to front for each one?

I'm a bit of a newbie to this

Thanks

yeah you change from knit to purl as you go along the row until you get to the end of the row. like a row of rib stitch...

and yes , just move yarn from front to back as you do each stitch...

Knit the first stitch, then purl one knit one to the end of the row. Repeat this for the next two rows.

Just pass the wool in between the two needles as you change stitch.

there are only two stitches, knit and purl, the patterns just come from the combinations of those two stitches...
    what are you knitting?
