Perfect Pepper Slices
Q: How do you get straight slices out of a vaguely spherical sweet pepper? A: Cut off the top and bottom. Remove the middle bit and the seeds. Then make a cut down the now cylindrical pepper. Open it out. The pepper is now rectangular. Slice away.

Tesco £2.47 chicken ???
Hi we buy a tesco chicken every week, we have the chicken breast that night while it is still hot, and then make a few sandwiches for work the next day and that's it. Hot cross buns - with icing?
An American friend of mine swears hot cross buns have a cross made of icing on the top. She even says she's had them in the UK! But I have never seen icing-topped hot cross buns, only the normal pastry topped ones. Anyone shed any light on this?

Have I ruined my BM by immersing the bread pan in water???
