  • No, no, no! Why does it always come around so quick lol :D

Another 'short' week for me (i'm liking this!), OH is away 3 nights so me and DD tend to eat very simple meals and we're at MIL's on Sunday. What i've tried to do this week is even when i dont have to make an evening meal, i've made something like Shepherds pie and frozen it for another day. Apart from my cold i feel really good health-wise at the moment but it could all change at the drop of a hat so i like to be prepared! :)

Fri - Spaghetti Carbonara, garlic bread
Sat - OH out, Sis coming round so might get curry from Asda's counter
    Sun - At MIL's
Mon - Shepherds Pie (from freezer, made yesterday)
Tues - (OH away), pasta bake for me and DD - will try and make a chilli for freezer
Wed - (OH away), Spag Bol (freezer)
Thurs - (OH away), Jacket potatoes & fillings - will make a casserole/stew too for freezer

Looking forward to reading everyones menu - nosy mare that i am! ;)

  • I would love to try something like lamb stew, but I am hopefully at what kind of lamb to get :o

I can make beef stew using braising beef, but don't the equivalent for lamb.

It has to really simply labelled in Tescos for me! Oops.

I'm on a mission this week to use my slow cooker more, only ever cook rolled brisket of beef in it, tut tut.

I like the way that 'hidden veg' features on your menu! Has said he would like me to make pasties. I could use left over pork and veg from the w/e, couldn't I?
