Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 28thFebruary 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
I thought someone else would have started this and I could just put on a quick comment.....
Anyway very busy week, in late every day and up early every morning. But I have tomorrow off. Had a great e-bay night, sold a few things. I love watchign an item with 2 minutes to go jump about £12!!! Lots of posting to do today.
Well off to work and see what the day has in store.... Cheers

Morning N9eav and all who follow!
Going to lunch with my Daddy today. He was in Suez in 1950 and he belongs to the "Canal Zoners". They meet informally a couple of times a year, and a lot of them came to Mamma's funeral. He doesn't feel right going on his own, Mamma always went with him, so I'm going todday as moral support. Nice lunch at he British Legion anyway!
DD is panicing. She and fiance are due to move flats on saturday. Man and van booked, notice given on theirs, and then estate agents saying, "Oh they may not be moved out by then!" I said, "They will be, or their stuff will be on the stairs!". Two lads apparently, who have left it filthy. Don't care about that, just need my lot in there!:rotfl:
DS is working tonight. I pick him up Thursdays, but he doesn't finish till 10.30:eek: I like to be in bed by then.........oh well.
Have a great day all and (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) to anyone who needs one.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning N9eav and all who cross and follow
I actually got some sleep last night:j , first decent kip in at least a week. I feel quite normal.
Watched Torchwood last night, am disappointed by this series, but I do think the first one is hard to follow. Feel the same about Ashes to Ashes but that's mainly because the lovely John Simm is not in it to lech over, quite like Philip Glenister, I met coppers like him when I worked as a legal clerk in the early 80's. Those were were the days, scooting around the Old bailey in a little black suit when I was a size 10! Even then I was into OS, it came from a charity shop.
Have my lovely neighbour coming around today to do a lip and eyebrow wax. Might go out for an hour, have a New Look gift card to spend and need clothes for my holiday. Need to hoover as OH back at work on nights tomorrow so won't be able to. Then studying!
Tea will be what we fancy, not toast, might do some baked potatoes.
Have a good day all and HUGS to all who need or just want one. SMOKEY thinking of you.

Morning all
Just grabbing a nice quick quiet cuppa before getting the boys up and getting ready for the day.
Fish for dinner tonight. For the first time since purchasing it on Sunday, the BREADMAKER has not been loaded this morning (but I will experiment with one of the recipes i havent used yet, tonight when i get home).
It made its first raisin loaf last night and that is what i am taking to work for lunch today. Had to have a tester of it last night and it was  (that means yum Haribo and Aussie, just in case your sort of mind gives it any other meaning:rotfl: :rotfl: )

CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
SMOKY and REDRUBY - (((Hugs))) to you and anyone else in need or who just wants one.
Well, I've been up since about ten to five but have just ambled around on the internet when I could have been loading the WM and the BM but it's the best time of the day not to get interrupted so I consider it time well spent!
DH is doing his first quote for the local authority so we spent most of last evening working on that and today I have to make phone calls to price things up. He's quoting on shower/changing rooms at a sports ground so I have to ask about lockers, fans and benches! I hope I sound as if I know what I'm talking about!
Apart from that, I need to clean the house from top to bottom - including the stairs this week! - make some cakes, write some letters, make a birthday card, pop up the shops, write a meal plan and shopping list for tomorrow and check out prices for a new monitor. My flat screen is not quite three years old and takes ages to 'warm up' when I turn it on in the mornings. My DS1 said they are notorious for not lasting long and that I'm lucky it has lasted this long! I might ask on the techie board if it's worth having it looked at but, like most things nowadays, it is probably a victim of 'built-in obsolescence' and is designed to be unfixable!
Well, I'm going to clear up the breakfast things, have a shower and get going on the chores. I've made a list which looks very long at the moment so I hope I can tick everything off by lunchtime!
Have a great day, everyone.
HILSTEP - have a great day with your Dad!

Morning All
I've had an email from the job people - they want me back for a second interview:j Just got to call them and arrange a time :T
Interviewed Simon Callow and Alfie Allen yesterday. They're both really nice people.
Didn't get to bed as early as hoped, so will aim for another early night tonight. Received some fruit teas in the post yesterday - thank you pigsback - so they're tiding me over for today at work. Will use the 20p off voucher that came with them to replenish my desk draw of tea bags.
Can't wait for my Ideal Home show tickets to arrive. Going with big sis, so that'll be a fun day out full of joking about.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Mr tru's grandad is in hospital, he fell over at home and injured his knee. He doesn't like to sit still for long so after 24 hours in hospital he got bored and decided to go home  He got up and fell flat on his face, breaking his nose and he has a big gash on his forehead. We went to see him yesterday, his face is black and blueHe's still joking around and chatting up the nurses though
Our pond pump stopped working yesterday, we went to investigate and it was blocked up with frog spawn :rotfl: There's tons of it, anyone want some?
Will do a proper catch-up later.Bulletproof0
