  • Morning :hello:

Get well soon Aussie and lay of the booze for a day or 2. :p

Hope your Dad is feeling better Mrs Mix

I got a lie in. :o It was OH's turn to take the girls to school and I just rolled over and went back to sleep. :D
Now i have to head to the office, although I'd rather work from home today, but OH has lined up some sales person to meet me this afternoon.
When I get back I will be hauling apart the dishwasher which must be blocked as the dishes are coming out dirtier than they went in.

    Morning!

Scuzz Well done on your second interview!! Good luck
icecubequeen Congrats on your first charity shop visit. They are great - don't worry about sounding daft, it took me a little while to get inside a chaity shop as well, as my early memories of them are being dragged around for (seemingly) endless hours by my Mum!

I like getting up with OH then going to work at 12 - it gives me a whole morning to do stuff. I will get dressed in a minute and do the washing up, might make a banana loaf as well. I could do with planting up some hanging baskets but don't think I will have time.

Sorted my washing out yesterday, hopefully OH will have time to put it back up tonight.

Hope you all have a good day

The things I do. Just ask Haribo, I'm really very nice. :D

    Hot Cross Buns
    1 egg, plus
    1 egg yolk
    3/4 cup milk
    75g butter
    6 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
    3/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp ground cloves
    3/4 tsp salt
    3 cups flour
    1 tbsp yeast
1/2 cup raisins or candied fruit

Put all ingredients except fruit in BM. Set for dough. Add fruit at signal.
Lightly oil 9 x 13 pan. When dough is ready, remove & punch down. Cut into 18 - 24 pieces. Roll each into a ball. Place balls 1/2" apart in pan. Cover & rise in warm place until doubled (about 1 hour). Cut cross into top with sharp knife. Bake 12 -15 mins.
Glazing - 1/2 cup icing sugar, 1 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp lemon juice.
Make glaze to make consistency to drizzle not run. Let rolls cool slightly and drizzle into cuts.

Thanks Aussie, will have a go, but just want to check a couple of things, is it plain flour, and do you really have to add 1 tbsp of yeast
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

    Good morning everyone,

Just a quick visit, ive not read the thread yet but will do in a bit when LO has his sleep!!!

So ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one xx

Have one LO here at the moment, and another coming this afternoon for a couple of hours, unfortunatly i have noone tomorrow, but never mind.

Parents evening tonight, we have the late appointments cos of me working so will be interesting to see how my 2 are getting on!!

Dentist yesterday went well, we were all told we had lovely clean teeth, so thats good, but i do need to go back (not until April 21st, earliest appointment i could get!!!) to sort out my chipped tooth, but its not causing me any problems so should be ok.

OK, off to play with LO and then get him to have his morning sleep.

    Have a great day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Right i'm sulking now, just typed a lovely long reply and the stupid pc crashed

    Morning all :)

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today
Pen-pin - glad you had a better night
Aussie - hope your better for tomorrow
Tatty - hope your nephew recovers asap
Ishbel - know what you mean about BF, i'm going to try again but NOT going to beat myself up if it doesn't work out. I've got a couple of things for bottle feeding just in case.
Tru - hope Mr Tru's Grandad is ok now, ouch!

DD still isn't well, she'll have to go to the docs tomorrow. I think shes got the same as me :( I'll leave her with my mam later cos i've to go into town for some mothers day stuff, get my free changing bag from Boots etc. Gonna have to squeeze the food shopping in somewhere as we've to see the consultant at the hosp tomorrow so wont be able to do it then.

Oh and my dad found DD's wooden cradle in the loft so we got it down and unpacked it - its like new :) So just need a new mattress and some sheets for Baby Thomas to go in it when he makes his appearance. My gran is making a little quilt for it :)

B - tea, cereal, oj for me, DD isn't hungry
    D - soup and sandwich
T - Jacket potatoes, beans and cheese

Got to pick OH up from the station at 9.30pm but i think he'll have already eaten.

Hope everyone has a good day

morning all................(((((HUGS))))))))) if you need one.................

Up and ready to go, Mr T's this morning for the monthly shop, have not done my usual compariosn shop on my supermarket this month, so the bill will be a suprise/shock...........

Its our wedding anniversay, 11 years ago at 9am we were married in Mussleburgh after living together for 61/2 years...........

OH slept much better last night inspite of having a nap yesterday afternoon, pleased to say so did I.

We have to collect OH's meds this morning, he has had them before with no ill effects, so heres hoping. I seem to have devoped the cough now, but not as bad as he has it. I am not sure to what extent the geographical situation has to do with the coughs etc. We live in a valley surrounded by hills and the City has a reputation for bronchtitis, sinsus probs etc.......but we are not in a position to take ourselves out of it.

Right off for a cuppa, put on my coat and face the hordes, at least the children are back at school so it will be a bit quieter.

Happy Wedding Anniversary Csarina & DH. I suppose there will be another type of Grrrrrrrrrrrrr you'll be typing shortly. :D

Purpleivy Haribo will walk to the ends of the earth for a free wax. :D Don't you know her little ahem cough problem. :o:D

Catz :T Your dishcloths look so much nicer than mine. :p
Charlie's Mum  That's what it said. Try less if you like. I use 1 1/2 tsp's in my bread so 1 tbsp is a bit much.

Dh just got home from the dentist $500 lighter. He was eating tea and his mouth was still numb and he chewed on the bottom of his inside lip. You should see it, it's a mess. Wait until the numbness wears off. :D Ouch. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
