    Hi everyone!

U2 was really great last nite!! can't believe how much you get to see on 3D!!

Been out and about doing errands today (for mum while shes away) had a walk up her high street, and then looked in the B.Heart Founation Shop and bought a lovely sideboard for £30!!! I havent got a clue where I'm gonna put it yet!! Its one of those oval old fashioned ones with the glass front that locks and glass shelves! plus went to Mr.T's - got some more mincemeat, chesnuts, xmas cake decorations, quince jelly, xmas gravy concentrate, plum & onion chutney all for 10p each!! Plus I treated myself to a nice "Cup Cake Apron" for £2.50!!,

They also had matching oven gloves (if anyone is interested for mothers day ideas) plus they had all their garden stuff reduced - compost bins, etc - thought some OSrs might be interested.

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Csarina!! enjoy your meal!!

PATENTGIRL - It's not so much a bag, just a circle about 6" in diameter - place the sweets in the centre, draw up the edges and tie with a ribbon. I shall hang things that I've made (I hope) on the ribbon before I tie it. I've seen the circles ready cut on eBay but didn't make a note of the price; I've got some organdie and will see how easy it is to cut. I'll try with scissors and with pinking shears, though I expect it will fray just with the scissors. What I want to do is have a circle of organdie and a circle of net, one on top of the other so that one colour shows through the other. I'm going to buy a couple of metres of the ribbon I need tomorrow and will try and get one done and post the pic. I would welcome comments because it's the first time I've done something like this. I've done wedding flowers and headdresses before but not wedding favours!

  • Hiya everyone.

Thankyou for the recipe Aussie. Am going to make them tonight. Hope you feel better soon.
I'm making myself feel better with a rather large brandy and coke at the moment. (medicinal purposes of course to ward off evil germs:rotfl: )
Hope everyone has had a good day today or as good as their current circumstances allow.
Moliere, any chance of a picture or pattern of this ted? Would love to make one for the boys

Hi everyone. I phoned my sister today to see how my nephew is... apparently between the lung and the ribs there is a cavity (so my sis tells me) and somehow the cavity has filled with either fluid or air (not sure which), so that stops his lung from inflating-therefore, his lung is collapsed as it cannot take in air. He was on oxygen all night and the hospital say they think they may make an incision under his arm and drain this cavity. My lovely sis is beside herself and we live miles apart-she is in pembrokeshire in south wales. And it's at times like this when she feels so isolated because she isn't near enough to see my mum or her sisters. And I had to send her a hug down the phone-it's so hard for her. She is in a similar position to me and her OH runs his own business and they have been down there for about 3 years and because of work etc she has not really made any friends either :( so I really feel for her.Coz I know exactly how she feels, I feel really isolated when my DDs are struggling especially with their health and I'm lucky coz I've got you all on here.
Anyway...moving on. Went to wo*k today to try and take my mind off tomorrow, just want to get it over with and I hope the dr can give me some positive news re my DD
(((hugs))) to all who need or want one.
thanks for everyone who has answered my previous questions today.

Well done Scuzz & good luck for the next interview

Tattycath - my friend has had a collapsed lung a couple of times & he is a fitness freak - not very tall though.

Happy Anniversay Mr & Mrs Csarina.

Glad today is almost over and done with, travelled to Southend as had dentist appointment, left 1 hour and 10 mins before and only just got there in time due to roadworks. Had loads of drilling to prepare tooth to have a crown fitted in 2weeks - was very brave.

OH made shepherds pie for tea thinking it would be soft enough for my tooth - it was lovey but mouth isnt hurting at all so that is good.

Had a good talk about our business with OH this morning and have come to a decision that he will go back on nights in April - the work is more reliable then - there is no day work around. Transport is really not a good industry to be in at the moment. Means we have a few weeks with less money coming in but the only other option is to lay off one of our drivers for a few weeks but I really dont want to do that. So will be really cutting back over the next couple of months - we have cut back a lot but need to take it much further.

Have looked back over this last week and I really havnt got a lot done - I MUST be more organised and stricter with myself.

Off now to tidy the dinner stuff up, have a lovely evening.
    x

Tattycath (((hugs))) for you and your sister - I am sure your nephew will be fine. Perhaps when everything is back to normal you could mention this site to your sister - she can make loads of virtual friends.

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Csarina

Can I suggest Csarina if the funds will allow that you buy a USB Hard Drive big enough to match your HD, this will then be a very quick way to transfer your data, and provide a back up especially for photos and HD have been known to fail.
