    Evening all,

Hugs to all in need, especially Smoky, Tattycath and Redruby.

    Happy anniversary Csarina...enjoy your meal

Ivyleaf...nice to visit your roots, nothing strange about it...I can't always visit some of my paternal 'ancestors' as they are buried in a huge private estate which has 3 cemeteries in it, was there as a child with my father and about 8 years ago with permission of owner. No idea why they are buried there as can find no connection with the estate and the family.

Shez...that sounds like what we in Ireland would call a 'china cabinet'...always used to want one but now have so much furniture that I would have to evict something to put it in and not into eviction, I'm afraid.

Nothing much to report to-day, ham and cabbage for dinner was very nice, lots of washing done as rain is to come in floods to-morrow so nothing will go out on line...lots of washing with small baby in the house.

Mioliere...congratulations on your craftiness...would not attempt anything as fiddly as wedding favours as I am not the most patient of people.

Can I suggest Csarina if the funds will allow that you buy a USB Hard Drive big enough to match your HD, this will then be a very quick way to transfer your data, and provide a back up especially for photos and HD have been known to fail.
    DG

I know all about HD failure, it happened to me twice last year with a new lap top computer, they did replace the hard drive, but I had lost everything that was on it. I will have a look at the USB HD depends how much it costs, just now I am more than skint.

We have just got back from our treat supper. OH had steak and ale pie, I had steak, its ages since I had steak..........so enjoyed it, no pud we were too full, but OH has just made us cappachino.....yummy...........

I took my loaf out before we went out, it has come out a most peculiar shape, I will take a picture of it and post it. In all the time I Have been using my panny I have never had a lof come out like it......really weird.............

We were reminescing over supper about things and places we have been to in our 18 years together....trips to California, Hawaii, Boston USA, France, Malta and lots more, this time last year we had just been offered this apartment and we were on our way back from a visit to Edinburgh..........having decided to accept the apartment and not move back to Scotland............I wonder where we will be this time next year?????

Enjoy your evening folks, I am going to put my feet up and watch TV.....might have a glass of something later.....will see...........

    Hello again!!!

Well ive read the thread, but all i can remember is HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CSARINA - hope you have had a lovely day, Ivyleaf has had a lovely holiday (thanks for the wave, shame you couldnt get onto the Hoe!!) and that Shez had a lovely time at the cinema last night!!!!

We have just got back from parents evening, and they are both doing really well - DD has more confidence, and is much happier than last October, and although her spelling is dreadful (like her mums!!!) her maths is excellent!! DS is doing well, and is capable of getting 5's in his SATS this year, which is lovely to hear - just hope he puts the work in, he has a habit of talking in class, and being clever enough to know what is being asked of him, when he is capable of doing more!!! It is great to hear such good things about your children, i worry sometimes as a single mum (and have been since DS was 3 and DD was 18 months old) things could go wrong, especially as their dad is worse than a chocolate teapot so it does make me proud to see that they are doing well.

Nothing much else been going on so im off to enter some more comps - hoping the new month will bring some nice wins for me, although ive done ok this year, after some of my wins last year, ive been a bit dissapointed, but shouldnt complain, im grateful for any win!!!

Have a lovely evening, sleep well and take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Happy anniversary Csarina!
Sort of four day week as we have an Inset day tomorrow - conference with brilliant speaker, so am looking forward to it!
Hilstep, good to see you posting - missed you recently.
Aussielass, hope you feel better soon - I'll be trying your Hot Cross bun recipe soon.
Tried to make myself do something before school today - 10 minutes ironing...then poured DS a cup of tea - and poured it straight over a shirt and a pair of trousers I'd just ironed! GGRRRH!
((HUGS)) to all who need one.

  • Evening all

Well now have neat eyebrows and a hairless lip, feel much better. Have tried to spend my £20 giftcard in New look today but couldn't find anything I liked. Did manage to find some shorts for DS to wear on our holiday in April.

ICECUBEQUEEN I love charity shops, I've always looked in them. DS likes them too as he can get loads with his pocket money.

    SCUZZ well done you

TATTYCATH, SMOKEY, RED RUBY, MR TRU'S DAD, MRS MIX and anyone else hugs to you.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MR AND MRS CSARINA.

    Hi Everyone.

Not had a chance to read the thread but previous post indicates - Happy Anniversary Csarina and DH.

I am rather down tonight (please not too much sympathy as this a minor thing relatively!)

The house is in utter turmoil re kitchen refurb next week. Thought he was going to do the flooring and then the doors. No I have to now make separate appointments. This is all after I have cleared out areas and removed carpets etc. Methinks the Council tip for some considerable time. Well maybe no pain, no gain. Not sure of final cost but gave kitchen guy a blank cheque today for Howdens for units and appliances!!!!!!!

Neighbour came through tonight so we could move heavy stuff for uplift tomorrow. He will come through on Sunday to help with fridge and freezer if I need it. Friend picking up cooker on Wednesday. I am so stressing as I don't like things to be a mess!

Forecast not good here for Scotland. Have been washing too tonight as I need to keep this up to date too!

    Love and hugs to all.

We had turkey escalopes-(pepper and lemon-not ver OS they were shop bought!!!). We also had jacket potatoes, carrots (I love fresh, cooked carrots!!!) and cauliflower. I made a cheese sauce-with a proper roux sauce and everything!!! My OH wqas very impressed when I said I had made it myself-He didn't have to sound quite so surprised though!!!
I'll have to find a lower fat version though as my eldest DD loved it but Is supposed to be trying to lose a few pounds!!! (I did use skimmed milk though, but my hand may have slipped a bit with the cheese... we like cheese in our house
