trying to keep on top is like that thing that hercules had to do in the stables (i think) - I will get up early
before I do though - if you don't have a carbon monoxide detector in your home then please get one - a colleague lost her dd last night - in her middle 20's - so sad
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Evening everyone,
Just finished catching up - Happy Anniversary Csarina
Hope you had a lovely evening.
Had a busy day at w**k today and didn`t get home until late, need to be in bed soon as it`s double back time and i need to be up at 4am.
Not done a great deal today apart from nipping to Morrisons on the way home for flour and to fill up with petrol, i only had £20 on me and it came to £20.01 but the lady let me off the penny, i was a little bit embarrassed lol
I don`t know what i would have done otherwise.
I have bought a new quilt to make a doggy bed out of so will be hunting around for something to make a cover from over the next few days, i think i`ve used all the unneeded stuff for the last one but i`m hopeful there will be something.
Off to bed now, hope you all had a wonderful day.

Thanks for the tip stefejb.
So sorry to hear about your colleague's DD-such a tragic waste of a young life. I used to have a carbon monoxide detector in my other house, don't think we have one here. I shall organise one tonight.

Thankfully we do not have anything in the apartment that needs a CM detector....but we always had one in the house. I still have it and take it on holiday with us when we holiday in caravans, just in case, you never know, especially as standards abroad do not seem to be as high as they are here.
Have just finished copying all the photogrpahs off my old lap top onto discs, I filled 2 discs. I now need to copy the files for all the embroidery designs I keep on the LT. It will take me hours..........
Right I am off to bed.................

Hello again everyone, thought i would pop on just before i go to bed and update you all on my attempt at hot cross buns.
Aussie - did you jinx that recipe or was it just my incompetence with my BREADMAKER?:o
I am now the proud mother (don't you dare laugh you lot) of a Hot Cross Bun LOAF:rotfl:  It seems I pressed the wrong button on the bm but to give it its due It still baked an amazingly brilliant loaf despite my complete incompetence.:o
On a lighter note Mioliere, looking forward to the pattern thanks:WANNASAVEMONEY - will post the Ted pattern tomorrow!
Hope everyone is having a good evening!
See you.

I tasted the Loaf and it tasted just like hot cross buns but without the fruit (another long story) and without the topping (too late to faff about with that by the time it had baked). I will Hot Cross Bun dough again sometime over the weekend.
Hope you all have a good nights sleep.

Been out a lot of the day and it's a tip here. I can't move for dishes and baking supplies in the kitchen! CLient in the morning, so what won't fit in the drawers and cupboard will stash in a bag.
I have three cakes to make, simnel for us, 18th fruit cake for dd and golden wedding for my wrinklies. Once that is weighed out there will be a bit more room.
Spent the afternoon shopping.... a) for bits and pieces for ds's play costume... a pair of epaulettes. Relieved that MIL offered to make. didn't want to ask her as she had cataract op on Tues, but insists that she's fine to do it. b) Costco as was almost out of decaff beans, couple more things too. c)Asda to get the rest of the supplies for the cakes. d)petrol .
Ran dd over to her cello lesson and was late for chorus, dh normally does that run, but he's out tonight. SHe's playing in a competition at the w/e so was important that she went.
Sitting with a cuppa now, peaceful here. I'm tired, but always need to sit quietly after chorus before I go to bed.
WIll browse here for a bit and then write a list I think."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

That's a brilliant idea csarina-I wouldn't have thought of taking a cmd on holiday with me-but what price a life!!!
Mioliere-would a ted pattern be a pattern for a teddy as in bear??? I know this may sound like a really dumb question but it is nearly 11 at night, ands unfortunately I haven't managed to drag myself off to bed-Oh is in the land of nod on the sofa!!!
I'd be interested in seeing a pattern for a bear!!!
better go I guess. Has Haribo been around tonight??? I don't recall seeing any posts from her this evening, I hope you are alright Haribo wherever you are hun.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Csarina - I got an external HD from Lidls for about £40 a while back. Also just got a 4GB pen drive last week to back up for just under £10 plus VAt & P&P (Mouse2House) so I can back up photos etc. Worth it for not too much outlay but peace of mind.
We have a CM detector just outside gas boiler cupboard and I have bought a new one for kitchen once new gas hob fitted. You can never be too careful.
