Netto shopping convert - well, mostly
There's a Netto withing walking distance from me, but since I'm fussed about my food and want everything organic, and I'm not strapped for cash, I only go in there for cheap tissues, toilet rolls etc and never had a really good look around. Today however I spent some time in there, and although I still won't look at their…

I'm trying to declutter at the moment - so does anyone have a good idea what to do with them, other than throw them away? Any suggestions gratefully…

Comparing Running Costs of Remoska/Pressure Cooker/Slow Cooker
Hi Moneysavers. I use a Remoska (jacket potatoes, baked fish dishes, chicken, etc), pressure cooker (soups, casseroles, pulses) and have just acquired a bargain boot sale slow cooker. Just a bit of idle curiosity -wondering about the comparative costs of running each of them. Does anyone have any idea what each costs to…

Fruit and Veg Gardening
I believe there is a long thread on this site about this, but just wondered if anyone could recommend a book on the subject. There seem to be so many out there. I'm not an expert by any means, but know the very basics of how to grow plants!

Slow Cooker/Pressure Cooker/Ceramic Hob
I am trying to decide whether to buy a slow cooker or a pressure cooker. I'd like a slow cooker for casseroles, rice puddings etc. Having just visited my sister-in-law in France who made some delicious fig chutney in a pressure cooker, I'm also considering one of those to save on time when making jam/chutney. I've read the…

made some laundry detergent!
Have bought the eco balls and although they are ok I find with some things I need a bit more oomph or they come out smelling a bit musty. Was determined not to spend huge amounts on branded powder so had a go at making my own. Only did it yesterday and at the moment its one hard partly solidified gunk so will have to wait…
