Is there a solution to the hideous Car Insurance problem in UK?
Hello, UK car insurance is hideously expensive in UK. It costs almost a salary per year. Even if you are not causing any damage for years, it still goes up! Is there a solution to that hideous extortional exploitation? Is there a foreign company or any other solution? I don't want to give a single dim to these hideous…

When I get to my destination it will be a week before I drive back home. Should I fill my tank up just before my destination at the cheapest petrol…

Insurance - Can the Policyholder not be the driver
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have an insurance policy for some else as the only driver? Asking for someone who is a carer. His parents own a car, but are now not able to drive themselves. The car is theirs and any driving of this car would be for them, so they want to be the policy holder, but with him as the…

Dodgy car dealer sold me a broken car
This is a bit of a long story, but please bear with, I'm really at a loss for what to do. I bought a car at the beginning of June from a seemingly 'reputable' dealer. Everything seemed okay with the car for the first week until a slight smell of fuel began to appear in the cab, I had an important meeting the following day…

Petrol station - Cheaper to walk to it or to drive
Hi MSE Forum, I currently live around the corner from my cheapest petrol station according to petrolprices.com. Now I can walk to it as it is 0.1 miles from my house. It wouldn't make much difference if I could drive straight to it but because I can't turn right I have to drive around which turns it into a 0.9 mile drive…
