CM Services Ltd - Merlyn Vaz Leicester
Hi All,
Looking for a bit of advice. I parked in the Merlyn Vaz centre yesterday and got done with a ticket on my car as I parked in an area that was not a specific space, it was semi mounting a kerb. But it was not clearly marked as not being a space and there was no signage to suggest this was the case. It was not blocking any cars or pedestrian access.
I opened up the notice and there was no actual PCN. There was simply a 'Advanced Warning of Parking Charge Notice'. In my rage I called them immediately saying that this is a medical centre and I had an appointment and could not simply wait until a space became available. (It was a ridiculously busy car park).
When I called them they said that I have a Parking Charge Notice which they have photographic evidence of. I reiterated that they don't and all that was in there was an advanced warning. Which has no financial details etc. They said if I appeal and that is unsuccessful I still get the chance to pay the reduced value. Which I do not believe.
Basically, do I have to pay this? Where do I stand? I just do not trust anything their staff say.
The value's on the notice board say £60 if paid in 14 days and £100 within 28 days.
Thanks.

It winds me up when I see cars parked like you did. There are reasons you aren't meant to park like that.0

If you specifically need telling that you shouldn't park "semi mounting a kerb" can I suggest you send your licence back...0
