Does damage to bodywork cause rusting?
I have a '13 Ford Focus. It has two or three very minor scuffs where you can see the white primer underneath. Surface area wise they are all much less than 1cm2. Cosmetically, you can hardly notice them so I am not really bothered about getting them painted over. However, does this kind of damage cause rusting? If it does,…

DVLA Down
I couldn't see this covered anywhere recently so just in case anyone is planning on buying a vehicle this weekend, you won't be able to tax them or change the V5 until 06:00 Monday. Lets hope it goes smoother than the TSB system move! https://twitter.com/DVLAgovuk?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Garage refusing to do work on my car
Hi, After spending a lot of time looking for the spark plugs on my car I decided to hand it in to my garage. They initially said it won't be a problem and its an easy job but I got a call from them just now say the car needs to go to a "specialist" and that they don't have the correct tooling for the job. All I wanted was…

No longer need breakdown cover - can I leave running to avoid cancellation charges?
Can anyone tell me - I have just sold my car today and no longer need breakdown cover with Autoaid. I bought it in March as a one off payment of around £44 on my debit card. My question prompted by a recent question about a license lost in post. Why do we have to send off our driving licenses after a speeding offence? VW Beetles (old air cooled)
What do people in the know think about beetles? They were ridiculed on Top Gear but I don't know why exactly. Are they terrible to drive? On paper they sound like a good bet for tightwads: - Simple design and construction so easy to fix - Cheap and plentiful aftermarket parts - Old enough to be tax-exempt - Classic car…
