Second key 'missing'
Good evening, My OH bought herself a new car from a dealers last week (new to her - 6yrs old) She had seen it advertised on Autotrader and subsequently on the dealers own website. In the description it stated that it had 2 keys, but when she collected it a couple of days after paying deposit, she was only given one key.…

Unusual car history - advice needed
Hi, I've put a deposit down for a second hand car (60 plate, so not too old) and since then I've found some odd things around the car's history - I would appreciate any advice you'd be able to give! Essentially, as far as I can tell, there is a year and a half gap where the car has not been taxed or driven. I did a mileage…

Van repair estimate seems steep!
Long story short, rented a van from Europcar last weekend. Managed to scrap and dent the passenger door. Around 100-150mm long. Had to pay £1000 excess, no problem as that's what I had agreed too beforehand. Went to 2 different body shops to get quotes by showing them pictures. Europcar sent photos to the garage they deal…

Car tax, expect or not and how to apply
Hello last year I bought a brand new fiesta, and was told there is no tax charge as it's low emotions and small engine etc. I've just noticed the tax disc runs out today! How do I get a new one? I've not had a letter from dvla. How long is the tax free for? Thank you.

LHD car insurance
My ex, (with whom I am still friends, surprisingly), came back to the UK from living in France in 2008 along with a Citroen Scenic which is now about 13 years old. Despite my telling him, (being an avid MSEer), that it might be better to sell it and buy something else over here he insisted on bringing it back together with…

Dashboard check engine warning - automatic mot fail?
Happened when I tried to jumpstart the car. Apparently it happens sometimes with this car (Merc A160 - 2001). Bought fault reader from ebay and thought I'd sorted it. It seemed to cleared. First time I used the car after it came back. Any idea if these cheap readers are any good? Or do I need it cleared properly? MOT next…

Advice for selling a car
I've recently been offered a job in London and I'm hoping to sell my car (a 2009 Vauxhall Corsa). I've never sold a car privately and was hoping to sell to a dealership/company if possible for simplicity. possibility of wining a court action for a damaged car deal
Hello, I bought this car around 3 weeks back from an e-bay auction. It was described as having AC and also mentioned that it runs great. Would you buy a car with a faulty speedo?
Seen a great car on eBay locally, taxed & MOT'd but speedo not working. That would make it illegal to drive technically. Anyone know how much a speedo repair would be (undoubtedly depends why it's not working!)?

Particulant
Has anyone experienced a problem with this? Had a major service on my Honda after it had lost power. Told it was because I hadn't had it serviced and didn't do many miles. Straight after the Service went to France and had the same problem. Told to go slowly until it "sorts itself out" Can I ever trust this car again?
