SMART repair

I have just purchased a new vw golf and have been offered what they call SMART repair.
The basis of this is that they will repair minor scratches, scuffs and sends from things caused by doors opening on to the car etc.
Does anyone have any experience with this and think it is worth it?
Is there any excess to pay (I will ask the dealer tomorrow)
It will be 349 for three years so I am tempted but not sure what it would cost outside of a plan like this!
Looking for any opinions to help me make a decision! Thankyou!

If you are likely to get more then £350 of scratches and scuffs in 3 years it may be a good deal.
If you park well away from other cars in supermarket car parks and are careful with your car it's not a good deal.0 -
my wife caught our brand new car on our wall the day we had it, with just 00044miles on the clock.. deep gauge right down to the metal and small dent..
A few days later once I calmed down lol, I took it to a local 'smart repair' place who did an awesome job on it for £120...
prob better off just taking the hit, if and when it comes..0
