Traffic Lights?
Hi All Can anyone tell me why a set of traffic lights would have 4 lights going down, the top one is red and is lit, at the same time the green light is lit at the bottom. Why would you have a red and a green light lit at the same time? This is not a one off, it has been like this for years, but it seems to confuse drivers…

Panel damage not worth repairing but car fully roadworthy
I have the chance of an old car with an area of long standing panel damage. I believe a previous owner lost an argument with a gate post and for various reasons never bothered repairing it. I suppose by strict definition, because of the car's age, it is Category D but it has never been recorded as such. The car has passed…

Ar rant (with apologies) - driving in snow.
Been out today when it has been snowing and again I am astounded b the sheer idiocy of drivers who did not keep a breaking distance suitable for dry roads, never mind covered in slush. If you are one of such people with complete disregard for other road users (and yourself), then can I just tell you now what a stupid…

Do I keep my No Claims Discount?
I renewed my car insurance in December, and currently have 8 yrs NCD. The car is due to go in for an MOT in a couple of weeks, and I'm considering the worst case scenario that it may not be cost effective to have all the work done, in which case I will manage without a car for up to a year to put me in a better financial…

Temporary Traffic Lights
I am somewhat angry! I was approaching a long set of roadworks that has a convoy car you follow. Reasonable Cost of Oil Leak Repair
I have a 1999 Renault Clio with an oil leak. The garage has said it is coming from the Oil Pressure Sensor and has quoted ~£120. I am wondering if this is a fair price? Does the switch need replacing, or just tightening up? The garage says that the engine would need to be removed - does that sound right? Just hoping for a…
