  • Hi there. First time poster here.

How old is your Corsa? I ask because my husband's company car, an 2010 Astra, had the same problem. It turned out it was a manufacturing fault and there was a recall notice by Vauxhall. We got it fixed have had no problems since. I would speak to your local Vauxhall dealer.

  • I made a post on here a few weeks ago about my Husbands car being wet in the footwell (look back through my posts if you want to read more) and after leaving it with a mechanic it was discovered that the heater matrix had gone!

It cost us £300 to have it repaired.

This was on a skoda though.
The loopy one has gone :j

Daughter had a Scenic with a wet passenger footwell.

It was a blocked drain from a sunroof.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

This won't cure the problem but it will help get rid of the damp.

Morrisons supermarket are currently selling Tetrion Moisture Mates on special offer @ £2.99 each complete with 400g refill. Normally cost at least double that.

People with convertible sports cars, caravans etc use them to clear moisture fast.

Obviously you have to identify and cure the leaking but the Moisture Mates will clear the damp and stop any musty smells.

Most likely cause is that the drain holes are blocked.

Google drainage holes for your vehicle. This happened to SIL car and was easily fixed/flushed.

Basically road grime not being cleaned from wheel arches properly had caused dirt to clog them up and the water had to go somewhere!
  • Sorry I know nothing about cars :o but I had a similar problem with my corsa. I thought it was a leak from new windscreen and took back to autoglass but they checked and said not windscreen. However the lovely man at autoglass phoned his mate who is a mechanic...he suggested it may be a leak on the BCM (Black box to right of battery) .. autoglass man checked and lo and behold there was a screw missing from the cover which he replaced for me ...it hasnt leaked since :j

I also read it could be the pollen filter... there are lots of corsa forums on the web which may help you
