Small campervan/motorhome
Hi all Not sure if this is the right thread - apologies if there is already a motorhome thread somewhere. I'm trying to find a small motorhome. I can't afford to run two vehicles so whatever I get would be used for shopping etc as well as days out/weekend trips. That means small/low enough to park in a multi-storey if…

Ford Key Conundrum
I've just bought an old Ford Maverick ('95) but broke the only key. I had a replacement one cut from the mangled original but it doesn't work too well and I need to have the fob from the old one near it to disable the immobiliser (the car doesn't have remote central locking). What are my options for getting replacements…

European single trip breakdown cover for a 12-seater minibus
Hi Does anyone know of a company other than the RAC/AA that would offer European breakdown cover for a single 3-day trip to Germany? The AA has quoted me £120- and the RAC £60- but they both seem a lot of money for what is a reasonable short and straight-forward trip in a brand new vehicle. I appreciate there will be a…

Can I fit roof bars?
I am looking at the new shape ford mondeo estate but it would seem that every decent example I find in my price range <£9k doesn't have the roof bars (which I need to carry cycles). Probably a stupid question, but can these roof bars be fitted at a later date?

HPI Check Results
I've just done an HPI check on a car I'm looking to buy, it came back clear but the only strange thing is that it said 1 owner before the current owner (a dealership), and that the current owner has had the car since April 2008? Why would they have it for over 2 years? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Passat Diesel - Cambelt or belt + waterpump change?
Having read the cambelt thread below, and knowing VW recently changed the guidance for the Passat 2.0 TDi cambelt change from 80,000 miles to 80k or 4 years. I'm at 4 years (65k miles) and have booked in for the belt to be changed. I see that VW offer deals on cambelt only, or belt plus water pump. Is it advisable to get…

cleaning inside of car
We've just bought a car and even though its not horrible inside, i'd love it to have a proper scrub. In particular there's stains on the roof fabric, only noticed when you move the sun visor things out of the way, so I'd love to know: a) Is it worth getting a proper valet done and will they get rid of those stains? and can…
