Crank Shaft Pulley
Our car: NISSAN PRIMERA GX 4 DOOR SALOON 1597cc
My partner needs a Crank shaft pulley
He has had quotes from the website 1st Choice, (approx £30) but I have googled and not happy with the reviews.
I have found another site 'PartsGateway' which seem to have alot better reviews.
Has anyone here got any opinions on either site or somewhere else they can recommend?
Thankyou

Both of those are merely services which put you in contact with a network of independant breakers yards who have signed up to the service. The service you get depends on what yard you ultimately end up dealing with.0

Find a local car breakers/scrap yard. Or try ebay or club websites/forums.
Whats wrong with the old one? Do they wear or was it damaged?
If they wear i would think twice about a 2nd hand one.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for all comments. The car has an oil leak, the pulley has a crack in it.0

Don't some crankshaft pulleys have a composite design, rubber & metal, and they can deteriorate, Our Volvo diesel V70 had a claterring noise from the engine really bad, and it turned out to be one of the pulleys but don't know if it was the crankshaft pulley or the fuel pump pulley.
2 options, phone round all the scrap yards in the yellow pages, check Ebay aswell
Or
Buy new, how much is a new one?0 -

Never known it on a GA16DE (assuming that's what this is) engine though, I'd suggest it's a one off.
Mine has done nearly 140k on it's factory leads, let alone a replacement crankshaft pulley!
