  • Depends what you want.

Old banger: 306 or Primera (Yes! Really)
    Something for the weekend: MX5
    Something normal: Focus

Sure lots more will be along with a lot more suggestions.

    Regards,
    Andy

Cant disagree with any of those really.

if you have a lot of money to blow, get a porsche Boxter, instead of the Mx5

  • Even looked at rx8 ( dreamin) but it has to be a bit sensible, just had a chevrolet aveo as a courtesy car it surprised me how good it was to drive, Jeremy :money:clarkson quote " anyone who prefers this (aveo) to the jazz needs to have a long hard look at themselves in the mirror" what an !!!.... !!!!!!!!
  • The Suzuki Swift is supposed to be good. Jeremy Clarkson gave it a good review on top gear. It is an affordable car that is fun to drive. The sports version has a 1.5 or 1.6 engine which for a small car is good. Think they are about 9,000 new. The racing stripes also make it look exciting, a far cry from the Honda Jazz.

Or if you want a really nice drivers car without the abuse/ribbing you get with a boxter, a S2000.

RX8 is a fine, practical and cheap sports car as long as you can live with 20mpg. The boot is plenty big, thought the opening is a bit small, you can really carry 3 people + driver, the rear seats don't fall down. Can be bought for under £5k no problem. You really need to mention a budget, and depending what it is, any of the above cars would be great. Primera especially (and Almera actually) have the dullest image, but are great to drive. I wouldn't want to drive a Peugeot, and definitely not an old one!
  • Need to know what you want the car for? City driving? Long distance commute etc

Would recommend a Mondeo TDCI, BMW320d for distance, peugeots 207 for run around and none are overly expensive.

Have just got myself a SAAB 9-5 Aero and that is FUN FUN FUN to drive......:D

  • I've been surprisingly entertained recently whilst driving a BMW 1 series coupe and a new shape (ie BMW) Mini Cooper. Both handled really well and had nice turn of speed.
