does anyone know if theres a list of the most popular car involved in accidents

Insurers would seem to suggest the Corsa ( or similar ), usually poorly modified and often driven very badly.
  • i definatley seem to have had some seriously close encounter with jazz's thos its a common joke between me and my partner about "look out its a jazz" lol

i dont often see many smashed up modded cars anymore infact i very rarely see them i think the scene has died downa bit and they can get nicer cars now for not much money. although the days of bodykits has died years ago
  • Has anyone that recomended a beemer ever actualy driven one on the UKs roads?
  • I'm Volvo, Can last at least 20 years, Upto 400,000 on the engine, Bit heavy on fuel but it compensates with a 100% reliability record for most owners.

smoky joe - yes I have. Are you referring to RWD cars not being great in the snow? They're pretty good the other 52 weeks of the year!

Any car thats ladden with safety gadgets, cannot be a drivers car imo.

    Get an elise/exige, tvr, caterham.

In a modern beemer, audi, merc, its the cars that is driving, not you, you're just there for the ride.

Edit - I see andygb made a similar list. Calling them 'old school' is a compliment imo ;)

yes i knew that before i bought it but wasnt to bothered as i have a landcruiser for deep snow a quattro for normal snow and a rwd starlet for playing in the snow, the 320 has sat in the drive for over 3 weeks now as there is no point trying to move it.

    Eh no they are not.
if you want a 320d you are welcome to buy mine its rubish i wouldnt honestly recomend one to my worst enemy, yes its good on fuel 60+ mpg on a long run and has plenty power 166bhp but thats it.

let me explain in one word the problem with new bmw's RUNFLATS,
i have had the car for nearly 12 months and for 11 of them ive been looking at other cars, the last bmw i had was a 325 sport and that was an amazeing car this one however is not:(

before you say i wouldnt know a good car if it was standing infront of me, well out off the 184 cars ive owned it is the only one i can not wait to see the back of.

Ah yes, runflats. You're not the only BMW driver that thinks they've ruined the handling/confort of their cars, and they grumble even more when it's time to change them and they see the price!
I know someone who has fitted normal (good) tyres to his 320d.
The new ones are meant to have got better btw...
