Hopefully someone can help. Having recently moved to Derby I don't really know too many places, and now that lovely time of year has arrived, the joys of the annual MOT. Can anyone recommend a decent garage to do this please? ie; one that won't rip me off. Much appreciated.

Simple q - why are car dealers so unwilling to negotiate over the phone, or give a fixed price?

Small Tip
During these very cold spells, if your car is parked on flat ground, keep it in gear, however do not put on the hand-brake. The cold temperatures are freezing the brake-pads into the wheels, therefore it is a better idea to leave the hand-brake off if possible. A very small tip and hopefully some will find it useful.
