Business Car insurance query
I was wondering if someone can help me. I am an additional driver on my mum's car insurance which is insured with RAC for social, domestic and pleasure use. I will need to use the car for business use occasionally but calling up RAC, they inform me they cannot change the policy for business use for myself as they can only do so for the policyholder.
Does that mean that if i wanted to use a vehicle for occasional business use, about 1 day a week, do i need to get my own car and insure it in my own name.
Thanks

You could insure your mums car under your own policy. The man without a signature.0

If the policyholder is insured for business use so would any additional drivers. What they mean is there system cant give you business use and not your mother hence making it cheaper.
Call them and ask for business use on the policy and problem sorted. Well except you will likely pay a £30 admin charge to add a cover worth about a fiver.0
