Driving lesson offers in Birmingham
Hi, I hope someone may be able to help - I have told the OH that I will pay for so many driving lessons as she desperately wants to drive, so I just wondered if anyone has any reccomendations on driving schools in the Birmingham area, in particular regarding prices and starting offers. Thanks in advance.

Car Insurance group search
I thought this might be useful for some people on here.. you can basically search for a car by insurance group. So start with group 1 and see if any cars interest you / are in your price bracket and you are more likely to save on insurance... http://www.parkers.co.uk/insurance/#ig=4

Opinions On This Deal, Please.
Looking to replace R Reg Ford Ka, with new or very nearly new small car. Was hanging on for Scrappage deal to see how it panned out, but less than convinced now. Ka is still in good nick with full MOT and would still sell privately, I reckon. Found a 58 plate 1.2 Fiesta, 1100 miles, dealer registered, (well-known dealer)…

Hi My 2and a half year old has just learnt how to undo his carseat buckle...found this out when doing 70 on the motorway, he seems quite please with himself and whilst he might not do it again I would like to take steps to make it harder or better still stop him undoing it altogether. What would you buy with £5000 cash towards new car plus £2000 scrappage grant
Dear all, being frugal my husband has had his trusty Mazda 626 for approx 12 years. However we are conscious it is getting to the end of it's life eg to keep the boot open he has used a broom handle for the last few years - he has no shame. Central locking etc doesn't work, smoky emissions etc etc. It will be our 2nd car…

Neighbours car rolled into mine!
Last night a car parked opposite mine rolled slowly into the side of my car after the handbrake hadn't been put on tight enough. It has caused some light scratches and scuff marks down the side of my car, along with a small dent where the front and back passenger doors meet. The guy came out straight away, apologised and…

can/should I drive with no rear bumper?
A friend has said he'll do a repair job on it for me, but it will mean taking the bumper off for a bit to fill and paint it. Is it legal to drive like this, and if legal, is it advisable? Thanks

How much is a W-reg Micra with 105K miles worth?
How much is a 2000 W-reg Nissan Micra Profile with 105K miles on the clock worth? It also has some paint touch ups, a small dinty dint on the roof and a scratch on the bonnet. It makes a rattle sound when the engine is first started but clears quickly. I'm told this is from the timing chain. It's got MOT to next Feb and…

Is a 2000 Rover 25 1.4ie worth £1,795?
I've searched reviews, and got completely contradictory responses - some people love this car, others deride it. Of course, the seller's telling me it's great, and the price does seem pretty good compared to others currently on sale on Autotrader, etc., considering it's got just 45,000 miles on the clock. It's from a small…

First car!
Hello everyone! I have my test in a month and Im getting prepared to pass ;) (then or a couple of months after!). I dont want to spend much over 500 quid in my first few years of car ownership as I imagine it will get bumped and scraped to bits (though will be trying not to of course). So perhaps a bit of Bangernomics is…

Hi I need a bit of help. Our Volvo died at the end of last week. Engine and clutch have caput. So I've advertised it for breaking as I've been told that we'll get more money for it that way. It's a P reg S40 2.0l. Someone has asked for the front splitter. The long centre part only? and the under…
