can/should I drive with no rear bumper?
A friend has said he'll do a repair job on it for me, but it will mean taking the bumper off for a bit to fill and paint it.
Is it legal to drive like this, and if legal, is it advisable?
Thanks

I’d have said you would be fine providing there are no sharp bits exposed and obviously no lights fitted to it
As to whether it’s advisable, you could well attract increased police attention if you live in a place that doesn’t do law enforcement by camera only.0 -
In the worst case you would get a £30 fine.
As long as the numberplace is not attached to the bumber I think you will be fine.0 -

If its the rear I would risk it so long as all the lights work & the plate is displayed & lit.
If its the front your gonna kill someone if you hit them whether its your fault or theirs. Not Again0 -
Put it back on with some thick cable ties if you can.0
