selling a car mse style: best free ads sites?
Options
hi, im trying to sell a couple of cheap cars atm. trying to be moneysaving as possible...
.....my local paper charges £12 linage, or £26 with pic , so ive passed on that idea...
wondered if anyone has any advice on the best places to advertise for free on the net? ive done autoweb and freecarclassifieds, all the others that come up seem to be a bit dodgy (if i register i reckon ill get innundated with spam ), or just appear to have only 7 cars for sale in a 100 mile radius and get 4 site hits a week :A
any ideas? thanks!

Pistonheads. You might even be able to drum up interest on owners forums for the brand of car. Especially if it is a rare one.0

the other is a complete pile of poop so is just to be advertised in the 'under £500' sections really. plus, not even sure there is a hyundai owners club?!We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

use the online part only of autotrader. its much cheaper than placing in the mag, and works very well.
Using the free sites only might be a false economy. Less buyers may mean having to accept a lower price.0 -

Sold my Mark 2 Golf last month and had the following results;-
Owners Club - free but no enquiries
Autotrader - £45, and a few enquiries
Preloved.com - Free and a few enquiries
Pistonheads - Free, lots of enquiries and finally sold through this site!0 -
Looks like I'm late to the party, I was going to recommend Piston Heads to.
But main sites I use to sell a car are Piston Heads, Autotrader online and Ebay.0 -
ok, its actually been a very cheap reliable car as a stopgap, and i do have a bit of a softspot for it now
got a phone call yesterday afternoon about the hyundai (within a few hours of the ad going on), from the ad on autoweb- seems to be a fast growing site by what ive read...
...im hopeful about the other one on pistonheads- and had no idea you could ad for free on autotrader, that was really useful- sure ill get some more calls in the next few days- thankyou all! :AWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

If your local Stasi-Council allows it then an advert in the car window is free. The man without a signature.0
